Our Mother was a recent resident of The Harbor. While there she received wonderful care, in a home like setting and the staff treated her with respect and kindness. Sharon, the Executive Director, went out of her way to answer our questions and she was very patient with Mom. She and her staff did everything possible to help make this transition easier. It can be difficult to find a good place for those with dementia, but The Harbor manages to be a cut above the rest of the options in the Opelika area.

I appreciate the excellent nursing staff and compassionate caregivers at the Harbor. They do very well to maintain a pleasant and cheerful environment. My mom lives here and we have been very happy!

Placing your Mother in the care of others is not easy, especially as a medical professional, but as each day goes by at the Harbor at Opelika my fear of the unknown and fear of someone else taking care of my Mom has decreased. I am thankful for The Harbor at Opelika and each staff member that keeps an eye on our very important family member. The decision is not easy, and the staff did support and help us in that decision. I would recommend each family member tour and visit The Harbor at Opelika and see for themselves.
